Screen Capture Tool Lite App Reviews
Can only record from...
… built-in microphone. Can NOT(!) record from computer sound card.
Sadly not usable for game recordings. For one it uses up to much CPU so gameplay is notficable slower. And also it records the microphone sound instead of the soundcard. Hearing the mouse clicks is not very entertainung. But even for business use the app is not so helpful. Whenever the app is started it defaults to microphone on. And as I said: Mouseclicks, Keyclicks and me coughing is not realy what I want. Last not least: insisting on Shift-Command-S, which is the SAVE-ALL hotkey, as start record is also a pain. Must have a dozend useless recordings by now.
Plenty of annoying glitches and quirks in this app. It did get it to do what I wanted, but only with a bit of a struggle and some head scratching. I can imagine a worse screen capture tool, but I can imagine a lot better. I sure cant imagine paying for the unlimited version.
The screen recorder is nice and it works great with Minecraft. Thats right, I said Minecraft. The app runs smoothly but it seems a bit blurry. Im not sure if its me but it is a good app overall.
Definitely useful. Better than the Quicktime Player recorder. The lite version is great for short clips, but (for good reason) you would probably need the full version to make money with it.
Avoid
Free version is very limited and is hard to uninstall. I found “Screen Recorder Studio” (Free and Paid Version) far superior to this app anyway.
